Since our founding in 1740, Moravian Cemetery has been a place of quiet beauty and serenity, beckoning the living as well as providing a respectful final resting place for families. Our in-door Valley View Mausoleum has been designed to meet the growing need for cremation with nearly an equal number of spaces for caskets as well as cremation urns. Our goal is to do our best to assist the community as we are committed to providing a sacred final resting place for our beloved deceased.
Our first fully indoor mausoleum is designed to be comfortable and inviting for family members who visit. The building boasts an interior of mostly Italian marble and granite features air conditioning, heating and a security system as the mausoleum is fully climate controlled and visitors won’t have to worry about the elements.
The ultimate goal of this building keeps in tune with the feelings of the caretakers of Moravian Cemetery and that is ‘as a manifestation of the respect and affection which our community bestows upon those who are interred here, it is intended that Moravian Cemetery be a place of quiet beauty and serenity, beckoning the living as well as providing repose for our families and friends.

HillView Outdoor Mausoleum
The Moravian Cemetery in New Dorp, widely acknowledged as one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the entire tri-state area, has completed the building of the Hillview Mausoleum. This memorial site, an eight-building structure with surrounding verandah and a picturesque view of the Bay, comes at a time when there is extremely limited availability of prime burial spaces for Staten Island families. The Moravian Cemetery invites you to visit this beautiful community Mausoleum.
